Ayurdoula Services

The role of an Ayurdoula, an Ayurvedic postpartum care specialist, is one of support. Trained with a detailed understanding of ayurvedic postpartum rejuvenation principles and techniques, my role is to support mama on her journey to recover vitality and nourishment so that she can spend her energies recovering from childbirth and bonding with her new baby.

Specializing in Ayurveda, I apply this rich philosophy to my work, which is deeply supportive for the new mama following the physical stress on her body through pregnancy and labour. I work gently and with love, honoring her space and need for rest.

My role as your Ayurvedic doula encompasses everything from preparing delicious healing foods, oil massage, herbal bath preparation, and belly binding instruction as well as breastfeeding support, and newborn care. I will provide referrals and resources upon request, striving to build a village of support for your family.

Informative calls about my services are free and are 20min (Book)

1 cup (250g) chamomile
1/2 cup (125g) ginger powder
1/2 cup (125g) orange peel, dried (4, fresh)

Pumpkin Chai

Warm the core on a chilly day!

Ghee permeates all tissues. Spices make the heavy ingredients easier to digest. Pumpkin gives alkalizing carbohydrates.

Prep Time: 5 min. Cooking Time: 1 hour
Servings: 23
1 cup (236ml) almond milk
2 c (250g) pumpkin
2 T ghee
4 T sugar or honey
2 pinches salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp dried ginger
1/4 t nutmeg
1/4 t cloves

1. To puree whole pumpkins, bake at 350 F (176 C) for 1 hour. Peel,

then cut into squares, scoop out flesh and mix with raw milk (and a little water if necessary) and blend.

2. Make a paste with the spices, add to the pumpkin mix, and continue blending. Bring to a boil in a

saucepan and serve warm.

Iron-Rich Stewed Fruits

Dried fruits nourish lymph, blood, and muscle tissue, and cooked like this helps cleanse the bowels without being too difficult on metabolism. Can act as a laxative.

(First week or 2 week)

Eat as early morning snack, 1 hour before breakfast

Choose your favorite dried fruits! raisins, figs, currants, dates, cherries, blueberries, mango, a small amount of prunes

1 cinnamon stick
2 cups (500g) fruits
1/2 tsp cloves
few anise or cardamom seeds
Pinch of black pepper
1 tsp fresh or dried ginger
1 T Ghee
Add honey to taste

Add a pinch of salt after the first few days for better flavor and

absorption.

Put it in a crock pot with water covering fruits to stew overnight or slow cook in a pot on simmer. Let the fruits turn to mush.
